Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Scripture Delight application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”) and Scripture Delight (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Description of Service

Scripture Delight provides digital tools for Bible reading, study, note-taking, quizzes, games, and language analysis (including Greek & Hebrew word search). The Service is offered in two tiers:

• Free Tier: Includes Bible reading, basic note-taking, chapter quizzes, and access to specific translations.
• Premium Tier: Includes advanced features such as full-text Verse Search, Scripture Games, and expanded study tools, accessible via paid membership.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. User Accounts and Security

3.1 Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are solely responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

3.3 Termination of Access

We reserve the right to disable or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

4.1 User-Generated Content

You retain all rights to the notes, highlights, and study data you create (“User Content”). However, by submitting User Content, you grant Scripture Delight a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

4.2 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload, post, or transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, obscene, or violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these terms.

4.3 Our Proprietary Rights

The Service, including its original content (excluding User Content), features, functionality, and software, is owned by Scripture Delight and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

5. Billing, Subscriptions, and Refunds

5.1 Subscription Fees

Premium memberships are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) via authorized payment processors (PayPal or Stripe). All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in this section or our Payment & Refund Policy.

5.2 Automatic Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

5.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to adjust pricing for Premium subscriptions upon reasonable notice prior to renewal.

5.4 Refund Policy

Refunds are handled according to our separate Payment & Refund Policy. Generally, due to the digital nature of the Service, no refunds will be issued for partial periods of unused subscription time.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

6.1 “As Is” Basis

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE BIBLE TEXTS OR STUDY MATERIALS ARE FREE FROM ERRORS.

6.2 No Professional Advice

The content provided by Scripture Delight is for educational and devotional purposes only. It does not constitute professional theological, legal, or medical advice. You should consult with appropriate professionals for specific guidance.

6.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCRIPTURE DELIGHT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service;
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service;
• Any content obtained from the Service; and
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE LAST TWELVE (12) MONTHS.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
